| In case anyone missed it...
Last night on the Try Time show Eamon McManus was interviewed by Alan Jackson about most things St Helens. That was part one of a two-parter which will be played on next week's show. If you missed it and want to listen to last night's show then there's the "listen again" facility on the BBC Merseyside site.
I'm told that at the appropriate time there should be a whole show on the opening of the stadium. As soon as I hear if/when such a show is going out I'll let you know.

The interview after 39 minutes was far more informative.

I did smile at AM's comments about the St. Helens lads on tour. He didn't mention that quite a few (and the better players) were actually not from St. Helens.

| Changing the subject somewhat, it worries me that in the future we won't have indepth interviews such as this with rugby league people, what with the demise of BBC local radio.

It's recently been up for public debate or whatever the BBC call it. As part of the cuts to the BBC's budget (brought about by a freezing of the licence fee and the fact that the BBC overpay loads of so-called celebs), they are proposing to cut back on local radio in certain areas, one of which is sport. We all know that the first thing to go will be rugby league coverage.
