I think what this proves is that saints have signed more quality kiwis!?!?

If the Aussie side had half backs, they would smash the Kiwi side. The Aus backline is scary.

Either of those teams would demolish England.

Maurie too, GB and Samoa. Played for Samoa in both the 2003 and this year's RU World Cup and made his GB RL debut against New Zealand.

What that does illustrate to me is that real top level half backs from Oz/NZ don't come over to England to ply their trade....either that or Saints dont want them.

I guess having Longy at 7 for over 10 years probably impacted on the team selection, but I think its interesting.

Im guessing Tricky Trindall the last NRL half back to sign for Saints? And we all know how that fiasco turned out.

Perhaps there's not as many about as we may think?

I hope your picking O'Connor on the strength of his whole career rather than what he did in the red v. He was garbage for Saints.
