they are the ones from knowsley road, but not the original ones, which were cast iron and very heavy. they changed to the present aluminium ones when st helens town started playing at knowsley road, because they couldnt take the old ones down every week. The tops of the cast iron ones have been found in a storeroom at knowsley road in a poor and sorry state, but they have been restored to their former glory, and will be on show in the club museum, they have allready been on show at the world of glass.

sorry i probably misled you a bit, the tops of the wrought iron posts that have been reconditioned are a metre long with the fancy bit at the top, they couldnt be put on top of the aliuminium ones they are much wider in circumference, I think they will look very impressive in the museum, bit of history
