Rumour has it Saints teenage half back Ben Karalius is to sign for Haven for next season. Not sure if its a dual reg or proper contract?
Is he any good / will he cut it at C1 level?

Based on the reports over the last season, unless he wants immediate first team action and isn't prepared to wait, I'd be surprised if we have let him go. There are others no doubt who will be able to tell you for certain but I would imagine he may well be on loan for the year.

Not good enough for Saints as Danny Yates, Dom Speakman and Adam Swift are all younger and better IMO.

hes a really good player, my son played against him when he was at west bank bears in widnes and he was always a stand out player and when i go and watch acadamy games hes still that good player big mistake IMO widnes will sign him if they can

If Saints thought he was good enough they would have kept him. I saw him in a few games v Wigan at u20 level.He wasn't outstanding, but he wasn't poor either, and I would think he'll be o.k at CH1 level, but I wouldn't expect him to be a "game changing" player. |

Saints had five players picked for the England Academy squad but Karalius wasn't one of them! |

the five lads picked is for the England u 17's to play the Australian Institute of sport ,Ben Karalius is too old for that nothing do with who he plays for .
i see the move as a stepping stone for him the chance to play regular first team rugby and build a career for himself as jamie ellis did when he left saints for leigh and if im right hasn't he just signed for Hull after only one season with them
Ben is a quality young player seen him play a few times he has a massive future good luck to him |

Good job he is still a Saints player then. As for Ellis, my understanding is he didn't leave for Rugby reasons. |
