| Whatever. No coaching pedigree at all.
What has he added to Saints since his retirement from playing?
Legend of a player, and that's where it ends if he makes the move.

| If he's going there in that role, it makes you wonder why he's not got it here? Surely if he was interested in coaching we could have found a position for him somewhere?

| Should have fecked him off when he stopped playing rather than having him hanging around the club
with Kel Coslett pinching a wage.

Maybe he's not proved he's got it?
A great player maketh not a great coach.

| It's not a good idea if the assistant coach to a rookie (under pressure and with no top-flight record to speak of) is someone who was formerly a better player, with more achievements and - most importantly - possesses greater charisma and force-of-personality.
If Wane hits a sticky patch in which Wigan lose three or four games on the bounce it won't be long before someone in the media links Sculthorpe with the top spot. If it's not the media it'll be the fans. And once the connection is established in the minds of even a small group of supporters (irrespective of whether there is ANY evidence to corroborate the claim) it'll spread like wildfire and put at risk the working relationship between the two.
I'm not saying it's impossible for Wane and Scully to work together successfully. But I don't think it's where the smart money is.

I will say something every single player respects wane at wigan he's like alex murphy not a person to get on the wrong side of

| Good move for him, seem to remember Daniel Anderson saying that Sean Long had the greater potential of being a top coach than Scully and Cunningham.
