Really impressive from both lads, got a nice traditional balance of a classic 6 and 7. Hope you stick with them next year as long term it will be of great benefit to Saints. Short term does not look too bad either.

Both showed up that shower Kevin Sinfield, our current international 6 apparently.

Both are truly exciting prospects, but far from the finished article.

You know my opinions of Wellens. Great clubman, but never a great player, I'm being consistent.


I have also been consistent in my appraisal of Gaskell and Lomax, however if you (Saints) want to screw it up, good luck. From a Wigan pov I hope that you keep Wheeler.

I did think that Lomax or Gaskell would be your fullback solution, but Hohaia could be a real threat from that positon.
