what is going on with the injuries!!
are we unlucky!
is it our training regime!
are we being targeted!
are we not fit enough to take the knocks!

| Who is the conditioner at Saints? i hope he's doing it on a voluntary basis as if not he's stealing a wage! We've had 3 yrs of this now!

I agree. Although the injuries appear to be on different parts of the body to those under Potter, there must be a conditioning issue because the injuries have spanned two very different coaching regimes. Royce Simmons stated clearly before he even got here I think it was that he had handed over the conditioning reins to the conditioner (unlike Potter who insisted upon players putting on weight, according to Flannery in an article in the St Helens Star). It seems to me that it is no coincidence that we lost Apollo and have never been fit since.

that's it though, the players do look fitter, but still the injuries keep coming, and to young players as well who should be able to bounce back, while Warrington's "dad's army" remains relatively injury free!

Their endurance levels have improved back to the days of Anderson but that's only one half of the story, isn't it? Wigan, Warrington, Hudds ... they all have fit squads. Us, Bradford, Leeds meanwhile are all going down with a ridiculous number of injuries. Therefore, it has to be a conditioning issue. I would suggest that the conditioner is not providing appropriate support for the kind of game we are playing this season, which is largely faster and more athletic than it was under Potter (which was more of a barging game, so more upper body conditioning was needed).

You're assuming that will happen, of course. So far we got Perry back only to lose Armstrong; got Flannery back only to lose Ashe, Dixon and Eastmond (as per usual, multiple loses when playing at Widnes).

I see you do not mention Gareth Frodsham. He is supposed to be on a season long loan at Widnes. Anybody know where he is. He has not been seen at Widnes since he played early in the season.

Injured, alas. I don't think he has a rugby career ahead of him really. His body can't seem to take it.

Ask BackrowSaint as he says in the Under 18's thread, no pity! if you can't stand the heat in the kitchen get out! LOL
It is concerning though the number of injuries being suffered by so many clubs, is it the full time training?

It's almost amusing. We could probably put together a team from out injured players (if fit) who would give any other team in super league a good game.
