Apparently there's a video from GMP on youtube about Saturday (see wigan board) - couldn't listen to it as no sound on my work laptop today for some reason . . . .

Not allowed anywhere where the pitch can be seen.
There are also on-street drinking bans in streets around Trafford with containers to collect empty bottles and cans. Bars will be open but you have to drink away from your seat.
I'm sure people can cope. If they can't, they need professional help!
Personally, I wish there had been a total drinking ban for the duration of the game. |

Drinking in your seat has been banned for 2 years, since the trouble in 2007.

Most Premier league clubs, if not all, ban it. It's a good idea IMO. Hopefully will reduce the number of idiots deciding to cause a scene because they've had a few.

In case I don't like what? Beer? Or drinking at my seat?
Have you been to Ull in the past few seasons, their ground regs were the same about drinking at seat because their licence didn't cover it. The same is the explanation at Old Trafford. |

Thats because it doesnt have anything to do with the FA. The rules are made by the RFL and the police, they stopped drinking at seats after trouble a few years back. |

I was with a group of 15 last year and we were allowed to take drinks to our seat.
however my brother in the west stand had his confiscated by a steward.
We are NOT football fans and most people are not idiots. |
