| If eastmond doesn't play, i'm really not sure.
In a grand final you need gamebreakers to put the crucial points on the board. Saints could be without 2 of their main gamebreakers.
Wigans defence is formiddable. Even if you do get half gaps, their scramble defence is equal and things are closed up fast. You aint gonna barge your way over. Saints have the forwards to get into the good positions but I'm not sure they have the je ne sais quoi to score the points.
It's been similiar in the last 3 grand finals. You've been in good positions at crucial times when points were needed but not scored the points.
Hope i'm wrong but...wigan by 8.

| Smith has imo proved that with a dominant pack he can make the chances, we'll be alright on the night!

| We can do it, like we did at the Dim Wit stadium but for once can we get behind the team in a final...our support in Grand Finals has been very quiet

I know what you mean, that was a similar story against a strong hudds defence, with short kick being vital. That was until Cloughie popped up with a money ball to Wellens for that try, so we do have it in us.
What's probably most important is that the team have a good week on the training pitch with Smith and whoever is playing 6 so the ball is moving wide as smoothly as possible.
If we do struggle for penetration out wide, then our forwards will be tasked with not just getting on top, but really smashing them back in order to get a roll on. I can't help think that the extra weight of Sia Soliola will come in very handy this weekend.
is there rumours of Fa'as being back?

| If our forwards set the platform for Smith/Eastmond then I think we can do it. Soliola's return has really lifted us in recent, as has The Cunningham factor.

| If anyone can get past our defence from 10 metres out, it's you guys. Masters at it.
When Leeds had all that pressure on our line in the second half I was amazed we held out, I doubt we'd be as lucky against you fella's.
I fear its going to come down to a mistake to seperate the two sides, hope thats not the case though!

| Hudds defence was only about a point a game worse than Wigan's this year and we stuck 42 on them.
So take a point off and we'll stick 41 on Wigan. 41-6 would do, sounds familiar too

| Of course we can win on Saturday. We have the talent to win and we have the ability to win. However, so have the Pies. I should think this is probably the hardest to call Grand Final that I can remember. Luck, refs decisions, performance, injuries, errors, team effort ... they will all play a part. But I've no doubt at all that we have what it takes to win it.

| The way I see it is that it is all dependant on Saints' long kicking game.
If we kick deep and well, then with our forwards I honestly see it being Saints' to lose. We have all watched Sinfield win the Grand Final on his own against us with a good long kicking game and it is vital we do the same to Wigan on Saturday. If we do, I simply cant see Wigan getting the field position to score enough points on us. I dont buy the whole issue of Saints scoring points on them. We can score against absolutely anybody.
It comes down to our kicking game for me.
