It can be seen from the official website news item about the events at the weekend that we no longer have a club called St Helens Rugby League Football Club.

We are now officially "Saints RL". Interesting, potentially controversial and totally and utterly out of left field.

Saints RL will be a promotional tool, we'll always be St Helens RLFC,as I think you know.

I Like the new logo the "new" name its clean simple and i think all of the RL world know us as Saints, as I have said, when im off to a game i dont say "I am watching St Helens RLFC play" , "I am off to Saints" , simple,
New Logo , New Image , New Stadium. (hey ill have to copyright that ive used it three times today)

Not sure about Saints RL to be honest but it does allow us to widen our net to be a north west rl team.

WHY mix the current badge with a v & a shield & some text

The V should always be on the shirt for me doesn`t need to be part of the badge.

The current badge is fine just tweak it.

If they wanted to replace it on the cheap could have easily had a fans comp.

Its not a name change, we are still St.Helens rugby football club.

From a branding point of view, the town can say St.Helens home of the legendary Saints.

Listen to the radio and they dont talk about St.Helens they always say Saints, similarly fans from all clubs talk about Saints, not st.helens.

Even when mocking us they use Stains which is a play on the word Saints.

Are they mocking me centurion.

Clubs have to move on and as long as were not branded with anything other than the Saints then so be it?
