| With working in Liverpool I know a fair few Liverpool and Everton season ticket holders...
This morning one came over and said
"You support Saints don't you?"
"Yes, why?"
"Saints have asked Everton for permission to play your game against Warrington Wolves at Goodison Park next season"
Yet to see anything official but he's very close to the club and always knows Everton related gossip before everyone else.

| Looks like RL is going to follow RUs lead and play a few league games at bigger stadiums, Wigan want to move the Saints game to Manchester

| This was muted in the interview with the Commercial woman at Saints that was posted on here a few months ago.
Would be good, although playing a home game in a stadium with blue seats against a team who's primary colours include blue is a tad strange.

| Remember the game at Anfield. What crowd did that draw? Can't see the whole ground being opened for this, which stand would they open? Main Stand (excluding top balcony) and Park End?
I reckon you would get a better crowd via a full house at Widnes. Moving it to Everton will reduce the number of Warrington fans in attendance. Disaster written all over it.

| if they actually put some proper effort into marketing it (like Wigan have done for this week), then there is no reason why it cant get 20k. However, Saints idea of marketing is to put a few posters up outside the ground and hope that everyone just turns up.
I think the game at Anfield got about 17k.

| What is the capacity at Widnes, isnt it 13,300 or such like ? If so, I can understand why Saints would want to take the Wire and Pie game on the road to Goodison or Anfield. You can bet wire will take a gazillion away fans to the game, and may even try to outnumber us by realising its a neutral venue, so they take it upon themselves to sell tickets and coaches for naff all, in order to get 10k fans down there and make it into a home game for them... the pies wouldnt, as they are miserable, and tight
Nice idea to go on the road, I presume Widnes wont wnat us to as a nice sell out would mean more sales in coffee and biscuits for them.

| Im an Everton as well as Saints season ticket holder and having seen Saints at Old Trafford,Maine Road,Anfield, the reebok and other football stadiums over the years ive always hoped for the day the Saints run out at Goodison. I remember hearing a rumour that the 2007 World Club Challenge was going to be played there but that didn't happen so i really hope this talk of the Warrington game being played there is true.

Average Superleague attendances 2009*
1 Leeds 15800
2 Wigan 14100
3 Hull FC 13000
4 St Helens 11500
5 Bradford 9700
6 Catalan 9200
7 Warrington 9100
Evidence would suggest otherwise.

Saints v Cas at Anfield in 1997, drew a crowd of 12329, the week before the Challenge Cup Final. The year before, Saints v Cas at home had a crowd of just 8239.

Then how about this years so far?
From our very own RLFANS statisticians...
After 21 games in 2010:
Saints average attendances = 11,208
Warrington average attendances = 10,580

I prefer Wigans average attendance of 15,102 to be honest.
