I thought it was a perfect reflection on the situation. The majority of us are able to see that the glory years had to come to a natural end and a leaner spell was inevitable. But having said that it didn't need to be THAT bad.

Catalans weren't if you watched them closely. They were very simple in their approach for the majority of the time. The difference was that they had players like Bosc, Greenshields, Mogg and McGuire who on their own could be devestating and collectively could be sensational. We don't have that level of quality in the backs.
