| I think some banners and protests are in order!
These are the players Saints should be breaking the bank for... hopefully with Long & Gilmour leaving this season and next season half a dozen players also being up for renewal the board will realise what real world class talent we have here in this kid...

| There have been far too many little rumours flying around this one for there not to be a element of truth in it. Time for the club to confirm things one way or another regarding contract talks with him.

| It's a done deal. He's gone.
Disappointing but something the club and the sport need to get used to. It just annoys me that we're loaning Matty Smith out and not Eastmond.
Kyle should spend the season on loan at a PNG third division side.

'" I agree to an extent but then the club shouldn't pay more than they can afford/think is a reasonable amount for him.
I hope he stays but hope he isn't expecting too much from any contract negotiations remembering he is still very early in his career really.

| Well that's the first piece on this that has involved any comment from the RU side. It doesn't look good, especially if there is competition between different RU clubs, as that will only drive the offers further beyond our reach.

Or even first week of August. I know myself or the old man mentioned it after the last derby game when we heard about it from a friend of Kyle's mum and dad whilst on a stag do at the dogs on the night of the game. Shame it's looking more true, wish it wasn't.

| Saints shouldn't break the bank for the lad, but if he is going to go then it's best to announce asap so we can look into a replacement.

Now you know what we went through with Chris Ashton, it's impossible to keep hold of them especially when their still unproven at SL level in their early careers.

Agreed.
If he gets through next season without pcking up injuries and proves he can take over at 7 long term, maybe there'll be a better offer on the table for him.
So far, he's not proved he can do either.

| It hurts when it's a Rugby Union club that is in for him, I'd rather him sign for Wigan (and that is saying something). But at the end of the day Saints can't afford to give him a huge chunk of the cap when he is still unproven, which is undoubtedly what Offiah will be pushing for.
If you want a challenge Kyle, go to Australia. If you want to risk it for the money, fair play, and best of luck.

42170_1280565797.jpg Rule 1. I am always right.
Rule 2. If in any case I appear wrong, refer to rule 1.:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_42170.jpg |

| The rfl need to look at this seriously. Lee smith a potential Eng full back and Eastomond potential Eng scrum half off to union. Both of these players looked potentially world class. We need to split the salary cap for overseas and homegrown players!

It would be to sensible for the RFL to try such a thing though.
