I'm glad to see this
A worse squad beat them earlier in the year

| Eastmond to miss out? I think we need find a place for him really, but the only way would be to have Roby start at loose forward, otherwise the bench would leave us weak in the forwards with a back there as well.
Wellens
Gardner
Gidley
Gilmour
Meli
Pryce
Long
Graham
Cunningham
Hargreaves
Flannery
Wilkin
Roby
Eastmond
Puletua
Fa’asavalu
Clough
If we leave Eastmond out I'd go with Clough to start and Roby and Dixon on the bench.

| Roby to play 13 with Kyle from the bench for me and drop one of the useless second rowers.
Good squad but remember folks that good teamsheets don't equal good performances, lets not go expecting a Yorkshire slaughter night from the S men, it'll take a few games to get the engine started again.
For me a defeat with an improved performance and a stepping up against Catalans next week to take some momentum into the play offs is the important thing. Forget the shield and play the long game.

I thought the season was a write off?
Agree with Roby to 13 and Kyle to the bench.

| If Bryn and Maurie both play then we'll have four props (or at least four players who can do a job at prop) for the first time in living memory, and will be in with a shout.

I don't understand this approach. We need a win. We need our confidence back up again. To lose at Leeds after our run of bad whatever it has been wouldn't do us any favours at all in the run up to the play offs. I hope Potter has them gagging for the hubcap because they need to get over their issues and get a win like everyone knows they can do (but some of us are struggling to hope that they will do!).

| To have any chance of getting to GF or winning SL that squad has to stay fit til oct 10th..
I've said we need Roby to play more minutes for some time now, think 13 would suit him perfecto..

Roby was very good at 13 in a game this year. Think it might have been Catalan at home.
With wilkin out we could move gilmour back into pack, pryce to centre and longy and Kyle at halfbacks.
The backs would then have some good attacking options then.

I'm not suggesting they deliberately lose. I saying that a good performance, a much improved performance, even if it ends with a respectable defeat, is what we should aim for. Scraping a 2 point victory in a dour battle won't do us any good, but losing 24-20 with us playing some brilliant stuff would be a lot more beneficial.

| Wilkin will be a big lose, but i'm sticking with what i've said all along. Saints to win, but a very close and tight contest. That 19 man squad is good enough to get the result, i also expect a big game from Maurie.

totally agree, this game could be a real turning point for saints, a good performance against leeds (win or lose) give catalan a good hiding in the last game, get some confidence back for the playoffs, with a fully fit team i would still take saints to win the GF, bradford did it from 4th a few years ago after having an indifferent season
