| I'm still amazed we went through the entire second half without conceding a point, because our defense today was abysmal. Missed tackles galore all over the shop, and the amount of embarrassing breaks made by Wigan tonight should not go unnoticed. There were two or three occassions in the second half where they waltzed through our defence and made 60-70 metres in a matter of seconds.
It needs to be sorted out, because if we perform like that in better, dryer conditions, then we would have conceded many points.

| You can't blame them for being weak defensively when there are so many links in the chain missing. But I thought the effort to get back and the 'scramble' and desperation to not let them score was fantastic.
Wigan are terrible, they've been very lucky recently to hit several fixtures at the right time.

| Saints defence was spot on (under the circumstances) so was wigans infact, we both stood tall and proud and defended with grit and determination.

I agree. Ease up on the boys.
No team in superleague could cope with the level of injuries and illness we have and still be on track with the treble.
I fear the next few weeks as do many people but we are doing well considering. VERY well in fact!
Well done lads!!!

Like playing Leeds with them on the back of 6 straight wins with 5 players missing from our pack
Massive tool!

You are not the first to compliment my manhood, but thanks all the same.
Wigan are dire. Watch the replay.

I have to disagree I thought their defence all-be-it offside most of the night was awesome.

Dwarfs, Gnomes, Halflings/GNOME2.JPG The new young dynasty of super saints is coming to a ground near you.

| The only time our defence was creaking was when the Goons had a good 5min spell from some good quick play the balls which got momentum and broke our defensive line, which for us mean,t a scrambling defence
I thought the effort from our pack was excellent, pity we didn,t get fat feka to run around a bit more, his transition to a fat piece of lard would have been all the more quicker.

| Our defence was good, we held them out which is what mattered.
I thought Wigan's defence was fantastic all night to be honest.

| Both defences where brilliant last night, both teams missed tackles and both teams scrambled well.
One thing that did annoy me about last nights game, and to be honest has annoyed me most of the time I have seen Wigan this season, was how much they slow the PTB down, constantly lying on and just general messing around that area and they never get penalised for it

| Our defence was excellent last night as was Wigan's. Mick Potter hailed it as the best defensive effort this season considering the conditions.

| Wigan's d was good, but it was helped massively by the fact the referee was so insistant on allowing anything at the play the ball. We got no roll on at all despite winning a lot of the collision. A stronger ref would have had them on the back foot.
