| As a spin-off to the out of contract NRL players thread and given that we all seemingly agree we need to recruit at least one other prop... Would anyone like to offer to compile a list of OOC props specifically, both in this country and overseas?

| I thought Nathan Cayless was OOC?
Out of that list, only Ben Ross appeals to me

well exactly, but the thing with austrailia is the class just below origin and austrailian class is about the same, there are some very big, nasty ba***rds on that list.
Shane Tronk who is the first name is 6'4" and nearly 18st, just a victim of timing really, he has had a storming season and so is well worth a bigger contract, but his team can't afford it under the cap.
There are similar stories throughout that list.

Possibly, but the flip side is that the Aus dollar has gone from about $2.50 to $2 ish, so a £100,000 (for ease of numbers sake) contract is only worth £80,000 now.
A really quite boring part of this is that the Aus salary cap of Aus $4,100,000 is now equivilent to £2,000,000 so is a lot higher than ours of £1,650,000 so the ozzies whinging about talent leaving because of salary cap limitations is just balls!

Been saying this for ages myself. The problem with nrl clubs is that marque players like jt, prince, lockyer and Inglis take up so much of the cap the player movement is crazy. Especially when you get a club like Melbourne who have smith, cronk and slater to keep hold of too!! Props find it hard to get anything like good money!! Petrol and price been the lucky ones who do but they are the best props in the comp still
Just to add does that list take into Account criminal records?? I bet a few of those have previous!!
