Sooner we get in the new ground and the club can control the prices and we can moan at them about it, the better!

The prices are ridiculous for Powerade (£1.80) and Mars (£1). I can just about tolerate paying £1.50 for a coffee.

This was discussed at the SBS meetings with the club last season. The word was we would control it to maximise income.

Saints are currently bound to a ten year lease (MacGuire's doing) and have as good as no control over what the caterers charge.

I would still expect Saints to contract out catering.
Its standard practise in organisations to outsource none core activities.

Saints core activity is RL so you can expect catering, cleaning, stadium maintenance, stewarding etc to be outsourced.

However ,It would be wise in a new stadium to review the terms of said contract, to perhaps give the RL club more control over pricing and products sold.

I think this is probably what was being inferred at the SBS meeting Ski mentioned more so than the club providing the catering staff/merchandise etc, the previous contracts with caterers becomes null and void and the club will be able to do the things you mentioned.

Crap at all grounds isn't it. I rarely buy from any ground as i don't like queing up for 20 mins to be robbed!!
