It's a poor choice of options in the poll. I wouldn't put Eastmond or Lomax in the halves just yet, they're not ready/proven and I certainly wouldn't shove Wheeler in the Reserves until Pryce moves.

Wheeler will play whenever and wherever he is asked and will give it his all. He needs first team game time, not reserve game time.

If i had to pick (and i have) i'd play him at centre, but as Ski says at his age, positions are far from set. Wello played quite afew positions before making FB his own

As for Lomax it seems as though he is likely to become a Full Back.

I imagine our back line may look something like this in a few years time.

4. Wheeler

6. Pryce
7. Eastmond

If Pryce slows a little he could always move to lock and Wheeler take over at 6 but that is a few years off i would think.

Just play Wheeler at centre, if options open for him then he can be moved to six. Its not really a big deal.

At the end of the day, the best stand off in the world played most of his career at full back. So its hardly detrimental to Wheelers development, game time is the most important thing to him at the moment.

Wasn't Matt Gidley quoted somewhere last week saying he played all his junior rugby at half back? At senior grade he's been one of the best centres in the world over the years!

You have got to take your opportunity when it arises and make the best of it like Wellens did at FB.

Make the position thats presented to you your own. He's certainly got the attributes to make a good centre.
