I don't know if this has been spoken about, but in my opinion, longy does not seem to care anymore.

He doesnt chase back when the opposition makes a break, his kicking has become average at best, his passing has become atrocious. Is it time for him to be dropped for arnold or wheeler?

If this was football then he would have been dropped a while ago.

I don't care who replaces him for this year. Eastmond or Wheeler.

His passing is pathetic, his last tackle option is shocking. This isn't a knee jerk reaction, look at my posts' i've had this opinion for a long time.


For me he could go now, for good, and we wouldn't be any worse off.

Neither Wheeler nor Eastmond are quite ready to replace him yet so I think just plonking one of the kids in and hoping they'll swim is a bit of a risk for us. Keeping Eastmond and Wheeler on the bench and getting them involved more often is the only way to go at the moment. Once they've shown us they're capable of playing eighty minutes then I'll consider it. Until then keep trying to get them into the game. That said I wish we could see more of Lomax because I'm more concerned about us sorting out his successor sooner rather than later.

I still believe longy should be dropped and made to fight for his place, the fact he is sean long and should be on the team sheet, is not gonna cut it anymore, if he cares about what he is doing, he should be put on the bench for a few games and made to work hard to regain his place!

I'm in favour of Long being benched this season with either Eastmond or Wheeler getting priority (perhaps alternate them in order to give them proper training). I'm not sure which out of Wheeler or Eastmond I would choose. Eastmond is cocky and creative but Wheeler strikes me as more consistent and creative. However, we do need to see more of both of them because time is running out for integrating them into the side and that is what Potter is supposed to be doing. Either way, I don't think Long should be given a new contract. Much as he has been a star for us, I think his time is now past and he should make way for the next generation.

They've won nothing for 7 years yet there are a lot of moist patches on the floor in front of the tele's in Wigan this weekend aren't there. They've gone from wanting Noble sacked to thinking they are the complete article. It's hilarious.

But anyway, if Longy is going this season he needs to be replaced now. I've seen nothing at all from Eastmond to suggest he can replace Long. Anderson didn't trust him and neither does Potter as he's not getting game time at scrum half, even when he does makes his bi-monthly appearance.

It looks a pretty horrific situation at the moment because our previous two performances have been so flat, but hopefully we can get a few players a rest over the next few weeks, possibly losing a couple more games on the way, and you'll all soon be back to posting idiotic threads about how we will go unbeaten.

Keep him in for the rest of the season. Maybe rest him occasionally. Had a bad game on Saturday, let's get over it.
