He is class when he plays within the spirit of the game. That's not why people dislike him.
Seems weight of opinion is against you here my friend. If Foster was deemed to be cheating on the same scale as Cheating Sam then he's take the same rap I am sure. Tomkins now has a reputation amongst players, referees and fans alike that's been self-inflicted. Now he's getting found out he doesn't like it and was the first to whince when Meli's borderline tackle that nearly knocked him into next week was questioned.

He has a choice. Either use the exceptional God given talent he undoubtedly has and become a great player on merit. Or carry on with the cheap shots, third man in, knees in the tackle, wrestling with opponents that he's renowned for and forever be labelled a cheat everywhere outside of Wigan.
