I think this signing signals the end of leon pryce's time at the club, who I would much rather have.

Pryce is undoubtedly brilliant and top class, but as it is he isn't playing any games whatsoever. I think the injuries Pryce has sustained has forced Saints into something like this along with the Eastmond saga. Pryce is very very talented but unfortunately he isn't reliable. If his groin goes again he could require surgery and that will amlost certainly be the end of his Saints career IMO.

Unless he has chosen not to re-sign or unless we have been put off by his injuries, I can't see why people keep thinking Hohaia has been signed to replace Leon Pryce? The player we KNOW we have lost is Kyle Eastmond. We have now signed a replacement for him.

I think people are already assuming Jonny Lomax WILL be our number 7 next season which means Hohaia will play at 6, leaving Pryce in the dark.

At this stage we don't know what the plans are in terms of Leon Pryce and Jonny Lomax for that matter (and Lee Gaskell). Pryce has said he'd like to stay but he will sign the best deal on the table for him, whether that be at Saints, Bradford or elsewhere. Pryce hasn't played a competitive game since last July, so I've no doubt Saints will assess Pryce's future later in the year when he's put a run of games together when he returns from injury.

We may have Hohaia at 7, Pryce at 6 next season. We may have Lomax at 7, Hohaia at 6 next season. At this stage we don't know. What we do know is Hohaia can play a number of roles and Simmons has brought him in to play in the halves. Obviously he's seen as a replacement for Eastmond.

The problem comes when you can't admit you're wrong. On the other thread you showed me I was wrong and I admitted it. However 'berro's best mate' just continued to argue a lost point.

From what I've seen of Lomax he's a superb player who will get better and better, why sign LH as. Half back?

Very good player wish we had signed him i dont think he is an halfback in a million years thou so i dont know why you need him to be honest

I think he will play 1/2 years at stand off with lomax at scrum half. Then when wellens retires he will move to full back with Gaskell coming into stand off. Future looks bright IMO.

Provides cover for half back and full back. I think Gaskell and Lomax will need time out at some stage of the year next year and his signing gives us that option. For me it means Pryce is a goner, a 6 & 7 combination of Hohaia and Pryce will be a step backwards for the club and will only hinder #Lomaskill's development.

I don't think he's the marquee signing Mr Big is making him out to be, but as long as he isn't on a massive wedge isn't a bad one.

Because playing rookie halfbacks together for the next couple of years could knock em both back.

I agree, we can't expect two rookie halfbacks to play at the level they have been over the last month. We need to be very careful with ther development in order not to set them back.

Leave that one for Mr Simmons, I,m a bit dissapointed with Wilkin past couple of seasons, I know he's had a rough time with injuries, but I was expecting him to go up a level and play to a couple of notches within Sculthorpes Standard. For me Wilkin would be a bench player, just think Pyrce would be a dangerous player operating from 13.

It's well known I'm not Wilkins biggest fan but if Pryce was to play then we might as well get shut of wilkin as he's not a bench type player ( no impact) and has failed as a 2nd row for the last 4 years.

If Pryce wanted to sign for Saints I think he would have already same as Graham. IMHO

That would be a travesty. Biggest waste of talent Saints could make.
