Hmm. Sexism. Isn't that against the AUP?
Bit Sun reader stylee at best. And that's an insult.

Wheeler has been playing centre in the first team for 2 years plus, he should be outperforming a debutant
in the position. How long did it take scrum half Wellens to become comfortable at FB?

| Wheeler has had too much disruption due to injury. Happens to potential young stars. Cruel, but I can see him somewhere like Salford or Wakefield in a season or two unless Brown gives him a run at SO next season.

Respectfully disagree - I think you're either cut out to play at a different position or you're not. For me Wheeler's best games for saints have been at SO (he played well against Leeds at home at centre this year but the whole team played well that day), he clearly struggles defending at centre and with the lack of ball he gets there.
Our obsession with putting square pegs in round holes isn't doing our youngsters any favours in my opinion.

| Wheeler is a natural #6 but still has the all tools to be a top quality centre - he has disappointed there more times than he's looked good this season and that shouldn't be the case.

| Wheeler was very good.
On the break away that Lomax latched onto from the Sia pass. He made the decision straight away to cross over Lomax's back to give him an option either side. This was good , because it gave Lomax the option, but it also meant that the sliding cover from Warrington could not just clatter across and take out Lomax and Makinson.

As I've said on here before, Wheeler has a great rugby brain. In fact, he is one of a very tiny number of Saints players who do, and we are the better team with him in it because he brings this kind of play to the party.

Well if Shenton is done for the season he gets his oppertunity to make a place for himself again. And with Turner coming that could leave him the chance to get the centre spot more permanently as Turner can be centre or wing.
possible combos
Turner Wheeler Jones Meli
Makinson Turner Jones Meli
Makinson Jones Meli Turner
it's down to him really to make the spot his own and make Jones and Turner work harder to try and take it away.

Which best games at SO have these been though? I can remember one half against Wigan and very little else.
For me, Wheelers sole issue has been his injury record, he isn't a gaping hole defensively at centre. Just when he gets a run in the team and starts getting comfortable in positioning and partnerships he gets injured and misses 4-6 games and all that work is undone.
