but a mistakes a mistake. the third try was clearly forward by about three yards but it was missed. we all saw that too.

I never said I didn't rate Graham. If you had actually bothered to read the post I described him as "one of the best props in the country."
As for Roby, whilst I think he's an above average club player, he was definately one of your best players last night. However, he certainly isn't one of the "best players in league" as Ashy claimed.

Roby and Graham are two of the very few world class players we have playing in super league.

But he obviously is one of the best players in the league, hence the mos award, regular starts for England and being chased by numerous nrl clubs. To suggest that he isn't is just ludicrous and shows a complete and utter lack of any rugby league knowledge!

Because Potter is no longer our coach. We had more stamina than Wigan; the complete reverse of the situation under Potter. We didn't give away penalties like Wigan did; the complete reverse of the situation under Potter. We are faster than we were last season, due in part to not looking like teletubbies; the complete reverse of the situation under Potter. And on top of that, Roby was absolutely magnificent for the full 80 minutes. Keiron who? ![Wink icon_wink.gif](//www.rlfans.com/images/smilies//icon_wink.gif)

Firstly, there's no need to get abusive just because someone disagrees with you. Secondly, you said he was one of best players IN LEAGUE. He's not even the best hooker in this country, let alone one of the best IN THE SPORT AS A WHOLE. Thirdly, winning the MOS simply means he was adjudged to be the most influential player that year. And that year was 2007. Fourthly, Cunningham never won MOS, so are you claiming that Roby is a better hooker than Cunningham was?

I disagree with you about Roby, but I can't argue about Graham. Graham's the type of player opposing fans dislike but would welcome with open arms if he moved to their club.

He definitely is the best hooker in the country, certainly the best English one. A view shared by the majority of fans and probably all the coaches as well. Name one team that he would not get into in this country.

I wouldn't want him as first choice hooker at Leeds. I'd rather we stayed with Buderus.

Best British player of his era, by a country mile. He should have won it 5 on the trot, even the seasons he was injured.

| Roby will be my favourite for MOS this year. The best hooker in this country by a mile, and one of the world class players in SL.
He would make it in Australia, as well, no problem. He'd be a massive success proving himself to be one of the worlds best players!!
Thankfully, though he as comitted himself to the Saints for the next few years.

I haven't read all of this thread so this may have been dealt with already. However, if you watch the replay of that try you'll see that although the ball does go forward Lomax carries on running after throwing the pass and is in front of Meli when he catches it so momentum rule applies.

The momentum rule doesn't actually exist. It's the direction it leaves the hands they are supposed to use.
It was a close one but probably slightly forward.

Does no one think it perhaps took a touch from goulding's hand to deflect it forward? I only watched it once but thought it may've.

That's what I thought, the ball also seem to change rotation in flight.
However, my missus disagreed despite us both watching the same replays so it's one of those borderline decisions that people will disagree on. If he did touch it, it was a slight one.

a) Didn't Wellens need to [iground[/i the ball in play for it to be play on? As per Saint Stevo?
b) You got that leniency when Eastmond's knock-on was punished by a scrum to you.

The ball was on the floor between Wello's right arm and his body. His left arm was in the ingoal area. There should not have been a drop out given. There was, so our forward pass was momentum.

| Quality game in my opinion and you capitalised when we were tiring late on. From what I've seen and injuries aside, I wouldn't bet against another Wigan-Saints Grand Final this year.
