Also, 10?
Edit
Yes, 10 as in 6 on the park and 4 subs in the modern game. I'd have Westwood and Carvell over Flannery and Clough in a heartbeat, who wouldn't, but that wasn't the point being made. As a complete set of 10 I think I'd marginally take Saints' over Warrington's. The comparison is a bit less equal in the backs though

47600_1370068151.jpg The Autumn Wind is a pirate
Blustering in from sea,
With a rollocking song, he sweeps along,
Swaggering boisterously.
His face is weather beaten.
He wears a hooded sash,
With a silver hat about his head,
And a bristling black mustache.
He growls as he storms the country,
A villain big and bold.
And the trees all shake and quiver and quake,
As he robs them of their gold.
The Autumn Wind is a raider,
Pillaging just for fun.
He'll knock you 'round and upside down,
And laugh when he's conquered and won.:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_47600.jpg |

With regards to "inanity", what is the point of having a my pack's better than your pack 'debate'?
To then questioning someone from an opposing view is beyond inanity it borders insanity, as we would surely back the majority of our own players especially from two top teams. The same could be said of a bit of banter with Wigan, but I'm not sure if you would have the same discussion on the Widnes board for example?

| Saints pack so much better that it was totally dominated and we didn't even have two first choice forwards playing.
Go figure

If you're going to start a debate at least do it from some position of credibility... Dear, dear me...

I've learned one thing from these boards, and that is that the old "form is temporary, class is permanent" maxim means nothing to these kinds of people. We lost and were outclassed on the day yesterday which means therefore that every single one of their players is permanently and irrevocably better than every single one of ours. Off days, poor coaching/tactics and lack of contribution from other areas of the field leaving players exposed are all irrelevant as mitigating factors. When the result goes a different way next time then they will disappear. Just leave them to it until then is the best bet.
I should have learned my lesson from arguing similar points with similar knuckle draggers over on the Wigan board but once again I'm guilty of allowing myself to be dragged into the sub-intellectual mire....

The five point gap on the league table, another cc final appearance, a trophy the past three years whilst Saints have gone trophyless over that period is a great indication of form is temporary, class is permanent. Stop taking life and this site so seriously. You'll never get out alive.

Whilst I appreciate opinions are based upon viewing, I can assure you Carvell has been our form forward for six'ish weeks. From what little I have seen of Perry, I would say he isn't even your best forward.

You should know by now the yardstick is an appearance in the Grand Final which is zero at the moment after 14 years of trying.
Think the Wire might manage to get there this year but might be a failed one if too much emphasise is put on the importance on winning the CC.

I think the yardstick is winning the GF. I have stated many times, it is no coincidence that a GF/CC double hasn't been achieved for a fair while.

As I would say Perry has been our form forward, hence the debate.

winning the GF is the yardstick. Not appearing in it.
