It's pretty sad seeing long play the way he is at the moment.

I never thought we could replace goulding but long as defo done that.

It's just time for him to step up and give us 1 more half season before hanging up his boots.

I was under the impression we were a poor team. After all we lost to you lot.

Long has had two poor games in a row, and before that was injured. People are stating that he has been poor all season, which is simply not true - early on he was very good, particularly in the league victory over Leeds.

The thing about Long is he always has a handful of games in a season in which he absolutely stinks. Always has done. This has nothing to do with his age or effort - he is a confidence player. The rest of the time he is winning matches.

Personally I'd be looking to give Eastmond more starts at 7, as I think it would do Long good to have some genuine competition for his shirt, but to suggest that he is finished is daft.

From our point of view on Saturday i didn't think Long had that bad a game. Some things didn't come off for him but he was always trying and along with Pryce was the only player that ever looked like causing us any problems.

Maybe my judgement was clouded abit by past preformences from Long against us but i definalty felt in more danger when Long had the ball then some of the other Saints players.

I still think he's got big game preformences in him.

I hope he's saving it for the cup this weekend
