That makes us no different from any other team then. Take a particular group of players out of any team and they will look worse.
I think you were unfair on our young players, particularly the ones who have had their debuts this season. We don't yet have a real idea as to their quality so why not just give them a chance before condemning them?

| HKR picked up Alex Brown from Batley. He's another Huddersfield reject.
Whilst he's far from a perfect player, he's got pace and power.
Hull (the form team in Superleague) curently have a player called Paul Johnson doing very well for them. He was released from Saints as he couldn't even get his nose infront of the other youngsters (Dixon, Emmit, Ashurts, Magennis) to make an impression.
Peter Fox was released by Leeds and ended up an England winger.
Danny Kirmond was a Championship winger for Featherstone. Brown signed him for Huddersfield and turned him into a very accomplished forward.
If this lad is big and quick, then that's a pretty good start.

I'm not having a go at the young players. My point is, we don't know how good they will turn out.

Sullivan cost £80,000 so he was established.

Exactly.
Nobody has seen him play and that is quite an important part of being a player, you would think.

Well if he was that good he'd be in Hudds first team and you probably would have heard of him. Maybe he is a 'hidden gem' and we can only hope he is but we are currently wallowing around in the middle of the table and losing games for fun so signing some no name from Hudds is hardly going to get the juices pumping is it?

Its the calibre of player we are going for tho, nothing against him but lets be honest, he's not the sort of player we should be wanting.

He has two very good wingers ahead of him at Hudds in Murphy and McGilvary.

| There's undoubtedly bargains and gems knocking about in the championship. Walmsley, Hill and McGilvary are proof of this, I am worried though about this signing, as to why he isn't challenging Murphy and McGilvary for the wing spots at Huddersfield. They're both good players, but do we really want a 4th choice winger brought in?

| If he has pace, then he is already a step up for Ade "New 2 Year Deal" Gardner.

| He sounds like a squad signing to fill the gap left by Meli. It just means we have more cash for a stand-off or prop. Our last speculator (Walmsley) is going pretty well so why not try someone else out.
I suspect that Gardner works cheap so giving him a new deal is not too bad. I would hope that he can prove his fitness first.

In hindsight, I'd have taken some of the players Bradford did. The likes of Sidlow and Chev Walker show a bit of heart at least, and are a huge improvement on Perry and Laffranchi.

| not heard anything about you signing him but makes sense as he is out of contact at the end of the season... and he is behind murphy and mcgillvary... he managed to get ahead of luke george.
never really had a good run of games with us but not let us down when he has played, has put on alot of size last few seasons and runs the ball back strong.
was well thought of when we signed him from cas but got a bad injury.
think we are offloading dawson and george so we can get jodie broughton
