Just because the Catalan player waves his arm in the air everyone thinks he played for the ball when in truth he never got anywhere near it.

I was watching it in my adopted town with a few dozen dire fans and they all agreed that when the catalan player went up for the ball he gave a nudge in the side of the saints player altering his upwards projection.
They reluctantly agreed it cannot be a try (ALL OF THEM) and they were right.

Believe me none of them were wanting us to win so no red and white specs were worn.

If it was a game with no Video ref, then I agree 9 times out of 10 it will be a try. But the video ref changes so many tries and no tries as you can see things that in real time look like a fluff by makinson. But once you see it back on the video, the reason he misses is down to being moved off the ball. Like I said fair enough if he was anywhere near the ball, but he's basically just running in.

He evened that up with the Blanch penalty. Yes he moved off the mark, everyone does, but Hohaia was all over him.

I didn't think it touched him until about the 8th replay but I think it glances the back of his hand. VERY harsh call though.

Eh? The ball touched his hand, from the instant it happend it was obvious not harsh at all. Harsh is the disallowed try at the end, if the try wasn't scored it would have been a drop out most likely, or would people expect a penalty for this?

Didn't like the decision when he said a saints player grounded the ball in goal and he gave a drop out. He fell when catching the ball jumping from the field of play and a Catalan player touched him slightly before he hit the fall and overshot him to me you have to be intentionally grounding the ball, He should have been allowed to carry on and run the ball out. But must admit quite a few big decisions where wrong and he should be in the dock for this as two weeks running now.
