My worry is, none of the other buildings in the area been danaged, Wigan and Warrington stadium had no damage or either of the football stadiums in the area.
We are lucky these winds didn't occur during a game or someone could get hurt or even worse.

Fog lamps in the rain NO NO NO NO....they just dazzle other road users....called FOG lamps for a reason ya know

Fog Lamps can be used where visibility is less than 100m in front.
Rule 226
You MUST use headlights when visibility is seriously reduced, generally when you cannot see for more than 100 metres (328 feet). You may also use front or rear fog lights but you MUST switch them off when visibility improves (see Rule 236).
Rule 236
You MUST NOT use front or rear fog lights unless visibility is seriously reduced (see Rule 226) as they dazzle other road users and can obscure your brake lights. You MUST switch them off when visibility improves.

| If I were you guys, i'd be worried about starting the season at Langtree. The officials will have that exact same view Pete. IF this were to happen during a game. So, out come the investigators, structural engineers etc etc, to find out what happened, what to do to fix it, and how to garauntee that it doesn't happen again.
I can't see it being a quick process. We're looking at a corner which, admittedly, there is a HUGE stress on corners, but is there an issue with anywhere else in the stadium....
Time will tell I guess....

its not like its the top of billinge lump though is it? even if by some miricle it did get to 70mph, thats hardly exceptional and the stadium should have been designed to take much more = shoddy job by someone

It's not very often that I agree with Wigan Fans but I fully agree that spectator safety must be paramount when the investigatory work is carried out on the damaged corner and that a thorough check of the remaining roofing is completed. As I mentioned on another board that we do not want RL going down the route of Stadia Disaster as other Sports have in the past.

He should indeed, especially as he commentator at Saints for local radio.

Sorry Simon, I hope you don't constitute the above as Trolling. It is most certainly not. If I were a Saints fan, I would be worried about starting the season at Langtree. If i were trolling, I would be saying "HA HA, no chance that's going to be ready", but I am not... this is serious, and I fail to see how anyone couldn't be worried, this late in the day, with such a catatrophic failure of the building.
As a person, I'd prefer nobody (Including Saints Fans) die, or be injured in the stadium through something that could've been prevented, and if preventing that means covering the first few games elsewhere, then so be it. If anyone finds this opinion wrong, or considers it trolling, they need to look at themselves very closely and consider where their priorities are.
