Hard to be positive about this one, but we didn't do too terrible last game against them, ill settle for any respectable score line

I think the game that Wigan play will depend a lot on the Giants result on Sunday. If the Giants lose then Wigan would still be top and with their Semi only 5 days later then Wigan may well not play at full pelt.

We've been lucky on a couple of occasions recently not to concede a mammoth scoreline against Wigan, either through them uncharacteristically blowing a number of chances or through things like sendings-off intervening in the momentum of the game. I worry that one day soon they'll really click in one of the derbies and give us a right kicking.

The way we're surrendering possession, giving away penalties and persistently failing to number up in defence, this could be that derby. Hopefully we'll show a bit of backbone and make a game of it, though.

Wigan will come out all guns blazing as they do, we'll mount a semi comeback at around 50 minutes but won't be enough, as usual.

I find myself agreeing with you here. They need to back up all the hot air with some performances get some fire in their bellies and at least get some pride back. As for anxiety in the stands .... err yes

Yes, Saints have been poor this year, but believe me Wigan have been faltering lately, the latest news is we may have Sam missing and we have a much bigger game 6 days later in the cup semi.

Gone are the days when we were the most important game.

We'd be writing ourselves off against Wakefield at the moment so dont take it as a compliment because it's not meant as one.

As for the bigger game, I doubt it and I doubt anyone in the Wigan camp thinks that either, London in a semi final playing in Wigan (which is unbelievably biased even for the RFL) are easy-beats and everyone knows it. Apeman will be frothing at the mouth about the game as normal and he will expect his players to be just as fired up as he is or I doubt they'll be getting a shirt for the procession against London.

Wigan very rarely win without S. Tomkins. We could be writing ourselves off too soon.
