I don't know what happened, as i wasn't able to make it, however, a few reports are saying it could have been illegal, including the one by Sky.

All reports say could have or may have, its rare to see people going down like that, but one good example is the o'meley vs gibbs tackle on youtube.

You don't usually see report say that the charge might have been illegal, unless theres something in it. I don't really want to make assumptions until i've seen it myself or spoke to some reliable people who went to the game.

saintsfan if you turned upto the game you would of also seen meli striking out on numerous ocassions nothing got done so stop commenting on something you aint seen and cant be sure what happened, and i also see on the fc board your having a go at us for cheering an injured player i think you will findwe cheered the big hit and when roby went off the pitch we all stood and clapped the player but then you wasnt there so you wouldnt know that would you

Roby never has a 'poor tackle technique', he is one of the best tacklers i have seen.

Actually, thats where you are wrong, the cheer that went up when Roby stayed on the floor, was disgraceful.

Thats something else that crossed my mind, i think he has the best tackle technique in the league, maybe the world. His tackling technique is fantastic.

Maybe so, as i've said, i wasn't there but i'd like to see the incident because it is very, very rare that Roby goes into a tackle and doesn't get it spot on. The chance of him mistiming a tackle are very slim due to the fantastic technique he has, but as you say, he's human so he could have made a mistake.

In fairness when the hit went in and he stayed down there was a cheer as happens, as was the case when Clint Newton was staggering about against you the other week, but dont lets pretend he wasnt applauded of the pitch.

he is a fantastic player Roby but was levelled by a massive (legal) charge by a prop. It happens and i hope he is ok because he is a top, top player.
