As a neutral winning mom in the semi and not even been able to be part of squad stinks. Glad he got his day finally and also glad not having to endure St Choker's for another final will do me.

In Briers postion?? I honestly couldnt say. He was young and things change. He made a choice and financially it's probably worked out for him. Would be interesting to ask him if he regrets leaving.

So, we agree his situation was more complicated than you initially suggested.

He doesn't.'"
It would seem so yes. It doesnt change my opinion of him as a player or person (From what I've been told by people I trust) though.
Interesting thing is when we signed Long we still had Goulding and Martyn (as well as Karl Hammond who could play standoff), I know people had doubts about Tommy's fitness but they were long standing. Sometimes you just have to back yourself to prove your the best, unless of course you dont have faith in yourself.

You should stick to nailing your sister , trolling just isnt for you.
P.S gloating about 'being your year' should be saved until you've actually won SL.

Not trolling all facts. Spent many of time shouting for you at GF's only to be dissapointed. Briers and Long would have made a good combo pity someone didn't have a crystal ball at the club.

Well your listening to a tonne of garbage.
He does an unbelievable amount of work for Reverse Rett syndrome.
I think if you had even the slightest idea of what he does you'd be embarrassed by that comment.

Agree trolling isn't for him, but as a Wire fan I would say its our year whether we win the GF or not....... 2nd in the league...... Challenge Cup Winners...... and now a place in the Grand Final.
Even the most bitter of fan would have to admit we have done better than anyone else as a combined effort, and thus making it our year.
Great game tonight. Hopefully we can beat Leeds next week and emulate the fantastic achievement of Saints by doing the double..... (please don't shoot me down if anyone else has managed it).

It was a long time ago but I recall him not being too happy about not getting a shirt for Wembley and that encouraged Dire to come in with an offer. Personally I'm pretty glad he left because if he hadn't we would never have gone for Longy.
Can't say I like him as a player (his constant bleating makes wello seem like he's taken a vow of silence) and from what I hear he isnt a nice bloke off the field.

If you've ever spent any time in Thatto Heath's clubhouse (I have) then you'll frequently have heard it from the horse's mouth (as he practically lives there and loosens up nicely when he's had a few, which is often ) about how he feels the Saints board screwed him over by making him a pitiful contract offer (little better than his previous youth contract apparently) that forced him to leave. He may not have wanted to leave Saints per se, but he certainly wanted to leave a club that he felt undervalued him.
Anyway - all water under the bridge and it was best for all parties that he left when he did, so everybody's happy. We could do with him in the side now most certainly, but I somehow doubt he'dve waited in the stands for 15 years for Long, Martyn, Pryce and Sculthorpe all to retire so he could get his chance so the points moot.
