I wonder how true that one is. There were several disputes at the club in the mid to late 1990s, all of which seemed to involve Eric Hughes. Because he was softly spoken, the other party always tended to get the blame. It was Eric who leaked this story in order to justify the suspension of Hanley IIRC. Hanley was a bit bonkers when it came to tactics, but surely even he couldn't have been this daft (he did deny it as well)?

Really good player, I remember his transfer making headlines.

Radlinski was a doormat against Austrailia, IMO he's probably the biggest internation failure I've seen. Newlove was world class when he could be d, and Farrell was alright for GB, he never really lived up to expectations though, but he was solid enough.

Biggest let down for me at test level though was Shaun Edwards.

thats good to hear. Wasnt a bad player but seemed to small. Saw him on Challenge cup few years ago.

Seen him on the big screen a couple of times handing out treatment, so he must have been visible on Sky Tv at some time during the broadcast.
