I can't speak for the useless Wire trolls, but as a (presumably) useless Hull troll, I'm here because it's quite funny to see the hysterical reaction to Roby getting a tackle badly wrong. I don't think I've ever seen such a reaction to a perfectly legal challenge, especially given that most of those reacting haven't even seen said challenge. |

Have you watch the tackle on Boots "N" all the tries Red Hall Got it right no Charge to answer O'Meley's arm is tuck into his chest and the top part of his shoulder catches Roby's head But if you are not a fair man you will see it different |

Saw the hit last night and IMO Roby was a victim of his own enthusiasm. He clearly wanted to put a hit on O'Meley, despite being in a poor position to do so. Normally a technically very good defender over-stretched himself on this occassion, the 'hit' was never on (brave lad because I bet he knew it too). He's not the first to be put on his backside by O'Meley and probably not the last.

No, i've not seen it. May well be correct, but it is very unusual for Roby to get the technique wrong, but it happens to the best of them.

He certainly has been this season, which is good as many RLFans experts claimed him was finished, shame he looks to out for a few weeks though, got a bit of cover with Moa, who has been great this year.
Roby is a great player and tackler, think it was a unfortunate incident.
Think this thread needs to be put to bed and hopfully Roby will make speedy recovery. |
