“Kyle has come through the grades as a rugby league player, and it seems pointless for him to switch at this stage of his career, but there’s always going to be speculation when a player of his credentials has only a year left on his contract,” Offiah said.

Trouble is, Offiah was always a money grabbing b****** when he was a player and I would seriously question his motivation if he walked into my office as a players agent. Saints may not want to enter a bidding war, but thats exactly what Offiah wants because he will get more of a wedge himself.

Personally, whilst he is obviously a very talented young player, I just couldnt see Kyle playing RU. Hes not the right type of player for that game IMO and certainly sees himself in the thick of the action. Playing scrum half in Union is a completely different proposition.

I guess money talks and the career is short enough, but I hope he makes the right choice for his rugby career, not his bank account.

Just a quick one... how is Offiah the Agent for 2 of the hottest young properties in Rugby League?

Never knew he was a big agent... I know they're not as well known as Football ones maybe

How can they stop him moving after his contract expires?

So you think I should maybe leave the "Kyle is a judus! ££££$$$$" banner at home then, just in case he considers signing for us?

Sounds good anyway, we'll know either way. Mc has obviously read my posts on here about how stupid it would be to spend a season bedding him in only to lose him at the end of the season.

If anyone thinks this fellow is not a good agent just look at the number of pages of panic on here just from an article he got placed in the MEN by a tame jounalist. He's a modern media savvy agent who'll do his best to get the best deal he can for his client. For some reason that really winds some people up.

Should all the deals done in RL just benefit the clubs? Or should players get the best deal they can?

Don't be so naive. There are hundreds of ways. Personally I'd drop something on him, say a filing cabinet or a goalpost. Mind you that could then be classed as an industrial injury, so perhaps not the best idea. They could fix his brakes, but there is always the risk he'll survive to tell the tale.

So I'd go for the traditional late nate whack around the head and a trip to the Mersey. Get an old bath, nay he wouldn't need that, an old wash basin and drop him in with some with 'just add water' concrete and lob him off the pier. If anyone asked why he wasn't playing next season, they could tell them he had been dropped.

In Today's Sun newspaper Warrington are ready with a mega bucks deal for Kyle Eastmond if he fails to agree a new contract with Saints. Possible replacement for Briers.

Mind you its on The Scum Paper...

Why? Eastmond could play anywhere, fullback, wing, centre, stand off, scrum half. Warrington don't care, they are after marquee signings that indicate their status as the most powerful rugby league club in the world.

The next few overseas signings that comes to the HJ will shock Super League to it's core. They won't be signing trash anymore.

This would be believeable but for fact there is a salary cap in place.

Hence above is nothing more than trash talk by your good self

Only partially. They are vastly richer than we are. If there was a free and open market in SL and no salary cap there would be no other side capable of competing with them.
