Brotherton needs a lot of work before he should be considered for first team action.

Being big and fast doesnt make you a RL player. It just makes you an athlete.
If he was thrown into the first team now he would make Kevin Penny look like the consummate professional.

Personally think the likes of Josh Jones and Percival will be getting the nod before Brotherton.

Wont rule him out mind you, just needs probably two more years in the reserves to learn the basics of RL.

I think Ashurst could do well at Salford. He runs great lines, defence isn't bad either. A bit on the small side, but that's the Saints way when it comes to 2nd Rowers.
