I don’t often post on here, but I almost had an argument with a fella sat behind me today. He spent the whole match, from minute 1 to minute 80, verbally abusing the Saints players, both individually and collectively, and also found time to have a go at Potter too. What is the point of travelling all the way to Hull to do that? I don’t get it!

Yes, some people will no doubt say “well he pays his money so he is entitled to his opinions” but honestly, the crap he was coming out with was ridiculous. How can it be productive when he is shouting abuse at the Saints lads?

Yes, we are off form at the moment.
Yes, we have a number of injuries to players at the moment keeping them out of the team, and we probably have knocks to players on the pitch.
EVERY TEAM GOES THROUGH THESE PATCHES!!!!
But yes, we will come back and start playing more flowing rugby again.

One of his best comments today was when Pryce threw the pass just before half time that went to ground and then led to Hull KR try. His comment was “That’s bloody Potter that is, that’s the coach’s fault.” Hang on a minute – was Potter on the pitch throwing the pass? NO. Was Potter on the sideline telling Pryce to throw the pass? NO! It was a mistake – a split second decision that could have led to a try but it went wrong. And yet still this fella rambled on about it being Potter’s fault. I suppose when this bloke makes a mistake when driving his car, he blames it on the driving instructor who taught him to drive 20 years ago??!! What an absolute prat this fella was.

Hey, burnleydave ..... being a Fax fan I remember (when we were good in the 90s) going to Knowsley Road and standing at the half way line waiting to see which way we played. At the kick off, we kicked off and there were cries of dispair as the scouse "fans" behind us shreeked "Loooook ..... that was offside at the KO ... Yorkshire bastads, the ref's a f******g cheat! W*****S!!! T**T!" .... And so it went on ...... Ever since then I really have had the lowest respect for the scousers. Terrible "fans". Moan moan moan moan moan. Funny how certain things mould one's thoughts eh?

There are people like this at every match in every sport. Even golf given some of the comments I've heard today on Sky.

They are normally really gobby females with really common accents too.

we all have fickle fans there is plenty at wigan just best to ignore them you still got a good side i think it as been stretched a bit with injuries mainly to props that as effected players such as graham leading to is recent dip in form

Every Saints player was a 'pillock', and (as usual) Meli in particular was on the receiving end of a load of abuse. After he scored his first try, I turned round with a wry smile and this bloke actually looked peeved that he'd scored after he'd given him nowt but stick since kick off.

With support like that, who needs rival speccies?

So do a lot of people from St Helens. Others think quite highly of scousers. Not sure what that has to do with anything, but then you're from Yarkshire.

Their was a guy behind me today who insisted ganson should of gone to the video ref for your first try which he claimed was a forward pass

I wouldn't mind but he's been to every home game this year surely he should;

a) Be aware there's only a video ref at sky games

b) Be aware you can't go to the screen for a forward pass

Its times like this, when we are struggling a little bit, that the team needs us more than ever and we should be getting behind the lads, trying to give them a lift. You are always going to get people that are slagging players off, we could win the league by 50 points, the Grand Final, the Challenge cup, everything and you would still get people slagging them off. I can understand criticising of players, and at times they deserve it, but some people take it to the extreme and will slag them off no matter the result at the end, we should be getting behind the lads, as knocking them continuously will do no good at all.
