The battle had started, Leeds constantly giving out cheap shots. Laughing in the faces of the St Helens players when decisions went there way (most of the night).
When emotions kicked in and the result was confirmed. Leeds went gunning for the St Helens players, they wanted to hurt them. Saints players stood firm and took the hits.
With one minute to go and Leeds finally getting the ball. Saints defensive line drew there line and was gunning for the runner, who would take it in ? Peacock, Leuluai, Bailey, Burgess. Who would take on the Saints line and take some biff ? The answer was..... NOBODY! a pussy kick from Sinfield to end the game. Soft bast*rds!

Would certainly be nice to get one over on them but it doesn't look like it will happen. They've beaten off challenges from much stronger sides than the one we have no in the past 2 seasons.

True. However the bulls sides where superior to us in 99 and 02 imo. We was Superior to Leeds in 07 and 08. We have a chance, a very good chance. |

As its the one that matters...yes. I know we have all been over this many times, but the team that wins the grand final is denoted as the champion (Best, superior, No 1 call it what you will) team for that year.
Those are the accepted rules of the competition that all clubs sign up to at the start of each year.
If Leeds win the hub cap this time round then it will be an achievement slightly better than winning it in 2004 or any year since, as this years regular season was a more ballanced fixture list.
If Leeds win the GF again then they will be the best team of 2009.
If your guys do it, I will not have a problem accepting them as the champion/best team of 2009.
Simple really isnt it!
