Quote: Albion "I'm astounded by the comments about Fages in that interview. He's acting like he's a 17 year old kid. Wakefield are in crisis mode. If now isn't a good time to play him at 6 when is ffs? im not saying he will be the answer to all our problems but I'd quite like to see someone who can pass the ball next to Walsh.
Instead he is persisting with Turner at 6? Who else on the planet agrees with that one? I'm sick of this saints team being full of square pegs.
It's as if Cunningham knows everyone is moaning about Fages not being selected and is on a power trip. It's the only logical explanation.
I'm dreading going to the game on Friday. Friday night at home when it's probably going to be raining against an awful Wakefield team. I don't know if I can be bothered.'"
The weirdest thing about Cunningham is the fact that it was him signing these players. It was him that identified Travis Burns as the go-to guy for Saints. A year in and he's slating him and saying he's not capable. He then embarks on a year long campaign to sign Theo Fages from Salford, a 60+ game player who now needs regular appearances to develop, and decides he plays like a 14 year old from the Congo who first picked up a rugby ball two weeks ago.
Fages was fine against Cas. Cas are vastly superior to Wakefield, who are a pub team. Yet he decides Fages isn't ready for the might Trin? He's so out of his depth it's unreal.
