Disappointing to lose Lance for such a long period of time. I think this season has been his most consistent and positive spell in the side since he's come to the club personally.

But, it's up to Wheels now. If he does play Friday, I think he needs to get himself a little bit more involved than he has done on the previous occasions he's played at 6 this year. Whether that is down to the role he was asked to play in those games I'm not too sure, but he is a talented player. Unfortunately that is not enough. If given the opportunity, he needs to go out there and prove it now.

Sad to say it, but you have to wonder how many games he will actually play before he picks up a knock.

He has done very little tinkering this season with the exception of our mid season injury crisis.

My thoughts exactly. McDonnell at 1 and Wellens at 6 is how I reckon we will finish the season.

Jon Wilkin would end up playing there if that were to happen, I suspect. Maybe even Jordan Turner depending on a couple of things.

No chance of Lomax coming back any time soon he only recently had his operation according to a recent tweet.

Our options are pretty limited and emphasise why we need to get a stand off in next year.

Turner isn't a 6, Wellens can do a job but isn't ideal, same with Wilkin. Wheeler probably is the best option in terms of he is a natural 6, but he is the most unreliable of all of our options.

Like I said he has done very little tinkering over the 20+ games so far this season, in the Bradford game he messed up the whole backline when giving Roby a rest.
Overall he has been fairly consistent, having Walsh and Lance missing big chucks of the season doesn't help the cause though.
