We could have done with him last night despite the fact we won! He's much better than Fozzard. Fozzard is still a fairly good player but he is getting a bit old now. Hope Wilkin's back in the upcoming weeks!

Whereas I got there too late to see/hear the team announcement and about ten minutes later was wondering where Wilkin was. I thought we missed his spark.

To be fair he was never going to be Scully II which some thought he might be. He is very reliable in defence, a tackling machine even, but his attacking flair is very on or off (i have no idea if this is coaching or not). When he good (Leeds in the cup last year) he's excellent, but it isnt very often

I think most knew he was never going to be next scully but I think most thought he'd be the ideal player to replace him.

Players like scully come around every 10 years or so.

Wilkin looked to have all the skills needed to soften the blow of when scully did leave or retire. Wilkin was mobile, great defence, good hands, good kicking game and looked to be a leader.

IMO he's still a ok players but is just a tackling machine these days.
