Quote: It's coming along nicely. I'm only a couple of weeks away, "Leeds Rhinos hooker Danny Buderus has revealed he is roughly a fortnight away from making a return to the first-team.
The 31-year-old was a big-name arrival at the Headingley Carnegie in the close-season, but has only managed to make one appearance before suffering a knee injury against Wakefield last month.
The Rhinos looked to be doing fine without Buderus as they cruised to the top of Super League, until last night when they lost a bruising encounter against St Helens 26-18. The Australian great could now be back for the Challenge Cup clash against the Saints on April 4th.
"It's coming along nicely. I'm only a couple of weeks away," the former Australian international told Sky Sports.
"It hasn't been a good start for me, or how I envisaged my Leeds career start when going there, but there's not much I can do about it.
"The club and the boys have been fantastic, so hopefully I can pay them back down the road," added Buderus.
After winning the last two Super League titles, Leeds tried to cement their dominance with the signing of one of the best players in the world in Buderus.
Buderus spent a decade playing for the Newcastle Knights in the National Rugby League (NRL) in Australia and was named player of the year in 2004. The hooker has captained Australia and won 24 caps for his country'"
Hope he does return, should be well off the pace of a game like this.
