Something that maybe could be modded into 2015 but would be more applicable to a 2016 version if one is made:

As things stand, the actual game engine and simulation side of the game is really well made and a good solid 7/10-7.5/10, so unless there's tweaks to it Alternative Software have in mind then that part of the game should be good to go for future versions of the game. There's not much feedback to give in that regard apart from well done.

So this will probably a bit more meaningful/helpful to the devs: It's the menu screens and the sound effects that could do with some work. Would it be possible to have a more Football Manager style simplistic and elegant skin? Having the sound effects on mouse clicks/background music and the voice being turned off as a default would be nice too. Just overall a "cleaner" look? More modern resolution support too for people on 1920x1080 monitors and the few of us using 2560x1440 if possible would be nice.

Purely cosmetic changes because the actual meat & potatoes of the game is more than solid.

It has its own quirky style with the UI, but I agree that a more streamlined and user-friendly version would be nice. Something along the lines of Football manager's style would be ideal. Fleshing-out the transfer process too would make things more interesting as well.

Support for higher resolutions would be great too.

One fix which would be handy is re: the editor.

I used the editor to create my local amateur side, which I planned to take from the NCL 3 all the way to the top. I basically changed the name of Heworth and quite a few of the player names, and then played a happy two seasons of getting promoted. After exiting the game for a while, I went back to it, loaded up my last save, and found the club was renamed Heworth again. All the player names remained as I'd left them, as did the manager, financial situation and everything else. The only thing which seemed to have changed back, was the club name.

I can't find a way to edit existing games - the editor only seems to be able to edit clubs/players before you start a game. If I'm wrong about that, let me know how to edit a saved game to change the name every time I log in, and I'll happily do that until a fix is forthcoming !

when continuing the game it should load you to your inbox, if you do not check it on a regular basis you miss important things such as players transfers or rfl fines to which your board dislike getting fines resulting in nearly losing your job. Also maybe have it so any important messages are brought to your attention immediately i.e your squad does not have 3 u21 players in the main squad.

Great game. Could you sort that when you are playing in the game you get job offers from other clubs and you can apply whenbthey become available. Same when you get sacked.

An enhanced Editor would be great. The ability to transfer players instead of having to create them, which is a ball-ache let's face it.

Would I be correct in saying there's a bug if you have Windows 10 that the game sometimes shuts down randomly? Anyone else have the same issue?

I've got Windows 10 and not had any problems with it. Though I've only played 1 season so far.

Just a few ideas from playing so far:

- A smoother way of using academy players in the first team and vice versa. It's a bit annoying that you have to register them in one squad but they can't stay in the other as well. So you either don't use academy players to fill in your first team squad or you end up with a big first team squad who get annoyed at not playing.
There could do with a system, like in Football Manager, whereby you can easily swap players between the 2 squads and also a way of making the first teamers not picked for the next first team game to play in the academy that week. So they're at least getting a game.

On the same note, it would be helpful if the academy squad was picked (by the automated assistant) after you are asked to pick your 19 man squad for the next game. So that you know if you need any academy players. For instance I had Zak Hardaker injured so was trying to use Ashton Golding from the academy but he'd already been selected for the academy game so I couldn't use him that week.


- Interchanges. Could do with making them happen just when in attack, as when they take place in defence they often end up leaving a big hole in the defensive line.
Again on a similar note, it would be helpful if, during a game, the list of players at the side would be a list of who is playing what position (and alters according to your interchanges) rather than simply a list of players.

- Training. Maybe make the retraining of positions take longer. IIRC it only takes a couple of weeks for a player to retrain in a new position, whereas this really takes months if not a year or so to adequately change position.

- Mail. We don't need weekly emails telling us we've not breached any RFL rules. Just tell us if we have. Or even better have an assistant coach tell us we're about to and we have a last minute chance to avoid it.

- Looks. As others have said a general improvement of the look and feel of the interface would be helpful. Along with making some things like job offers, and club/rep/international team badges more easily recognised. Just to make things a bit clearer to see and understand.

Please don't take this as criticism or me having a go or anything, it's really not that and most of the things I've mentioned are pretty minor. As others have said the basis of the game is really really good and I'm really enjoying it so far!

I got that after the first game of my second season, and realised that I'd not saved since after the GF and had to repeat Oct-Feb!
