| So the squads have been announced, ours in unchanged. Will we have more luck down the lane this year than last? Given their squad, even though they always raise their game to play us, if we don't win comfortably then it will only add to the problems we have. Interesting that Salford are at home to Leigh and Giants are at London this week so both could win.

| if we sit back and invite them on we lose.

| Got to agree there. Sit back and let them come onto us and we'll get beat as they'll raise their game for their annual cup final, it's all that matters in their strange little lives.
Looking at the squads though, it's the poorest Cas have chucked out in quite some years, and if we can't turn that over then we certainly do have some problems of our own.
Leeds by 20 surely?

| You would think we win this one although I thought that last season and look what happened.
There`s no reason why we shouldn`t be winning our next 5 games if we run hard and tackle hard which seems to be the Rohan Smith mantra.
I would be disappointed if we don`t get 10 points and slightly forgiving if we get 8 of those 10.

| One game at a time for me. After the last performance, it's not looking good if we don't win this.
Listening to Smith's pre-match interviews, there are signs that the penny is dropping - he realises that the team need to adapt (including using the same tactics other teams use to slow us down), and that fans expect results.
These things aren't won on paper. Last year's team would in all probability go and lose this one. It's a real test of the changes made, our mental resolve after two deflating losses, and the degree to which the culture really is better this season. Individually and collectively they need to show something, but I'm not feeling confident to be honest.

| Let’s just hope Frawley doesn’t put it down the full back’s throat all night, and it doesn’t take until the 79th minute for Croft to take the line on.

You must have your fixtures mixed up. You're playing Cas.

| Couple of cas fans go in the local pub. Apparently they are confident they will win, certainly last season we were poor. Realistically we should triumph but our forwards will have to be up for this game.

| We are pretty much at full strength, apart from sick note.
There are literally no excuses.
I expect a strong performance on the front foot, hopefully for the majority of the 80.
Leeds by 24.

Wouldn't disagree. If we're looking at all at top 6, never mind anything else, a min 4 score win here is the sort of result we should be (need to be?) looking to deliver.

| As Tad and others have said the concern is if we let them make a lot of yardage and we have another half where we spend most of it in our own end.
Cas pitch is shorter than most so it should be easier to get down in their 20, but I’d hazard a guess that last week we did not play the ball in their 20 in the first half , this has been a regular feature of late, regardless of the opposition.
Hoping for better and fingers crossed a dry night

| The way Smith coaches and wants to play the game he'll get a few great results and some eye catching long range try of the season contenders but he won't be a coach that'll get a side to be consistent right at the top, that much is evident already and I'll eat my left nut if that doesn't turn out to be the case.

I sincerely hope you are right. Our forwards have to really get stuck in, if they don’t we may struggle.

"Leeds is the greatest club in Rugby League"
Alex Murphy 2011: |
|
| We are playing a terrible Cas side that has conceded nearly 180 points in their first 5 games. Maybe they should have shown the commitment in those 5:games that they will undoubtedly show tomorrow. Our pack don’t have a say if they play “on the front foot” or not, they are not big enough or good enough to dictate how the forward battle plays out. Winning for us is unconditional, it should just be a matter of how many. I’d love to see the look on Lachie Miller’s face when he realises he’s only travelled 12 miles but gone back 50 years in time.
