| Rohan Smith basically confirming that Brad Dwyer is leaving the club at end of the season on his pre match conference.

| Makes sense when we have academy players stepping up.

| Expected wasn't it. This means we have another approx £80k to play with on the SC. There's tonnes of space free on the cap for next year, we really ought to be signing some much better players.

| Goes to show what a difference a coach makes. Dwyer was Agar's go-to man any time we were struggling. Smith wants the hooker to first and foremost provide decent ball and link with the halfbacks with anything else a bonus. I think we've seen already which approach is going to lead to better team performances...

| Goes to show how so many fans lack enough insight to see that as they're all annoyed he's being allowed to leave.

Never ceases to amaze me how many fans don't have the first clue about the sport they claim to love.

I continue to be shocked by the amount of people suggesting Dwyer is the best hooker at the club.
A few flashy runs does not a good hooker make
But aside from that wish Brad the best, you could never fault his effort, he’s just not the style of 9 we need to push on.

| I always think he came across well in interviews and the press. Respectful of the club etc.
Johnson is ahead of him so good he is leaving and now we can sign another prop for 2023 I assume

| Richie Myler was signed to replace Danny McGuire
Brad Dwyer was signed to replace Rob Burrow
It's no shock we've had a rubbish few years.
That's no disrespect to Richie and Brad with who have given their all and Ritchie is lucky he has found his true position.

| I find it difficult to take anyone seriously when they say Dwyer should be kept or he's one of our best players. Yes, he's given everything for Leeds and at a time when we needed someone to play with his passion. But he won't take us forward or get us moving up the table.
I had a chat with a neighbour about this and said how he stops the team from playing. His response was that he's fast as anything. Even when another neighbour joined in (ex pro who played for the Kiwis) and said you need a hooker who can pass and can have structure off. The neighbour still wouldn't have it. Embarrassing

Certainly not a good passer but jesus when were really struggling he was our only attacking threat , good luck Brad you will make someone a great number 2 hooker and i won't be suprised when you come back to haunt us . At the moment all we have got is a make weight out of position player (who admittedley can tackle
) and a hyped up kid who has proven nothing yet to take over

| By having a 9 who can get better service to the halves you get better all round attacking threat from the back line rather than the one man get out of jail stuff Dwyer does. That's the point. Hes both been the only 'attacking threat' at times and also a large cause of that.

Hard to disagree. And worryingly again last week was our main / only attacking threat. He’s a dangerous impact sub with heavily ingrained headless chickenitis and inconsistent passing. He’s scored plenty of tries and changed plenty of games. We have had a lot of players in the last 5 years who have made much less impact. He’s made a fair bit happen behind a fairly poor pack and endless changing halves. Overall think it’s right he’s going but we’ve had a lot worse.

| Smith has spoken about a team first mentality in almost every interview he has done. He's even reluctant to pick out players who stood out to him in post-game pressers because he doesn't appear to want to hype any individuals.
Dwyer is the ultimate individual, which is why he gets so many tries from dummy half. Follows his instincts in attack ignoring other players, and poor distribution. I think it's just a huge clash of styles an philosophies.
Tbf to Brad, he seems a good bloke, and has worked hard for the team. Agar seemed to love him, and always made him run up defense to put pressure on last tackle plays. Again though, it's not how Smith seems to operate.
