Good too Have him & Holroyd tied down til 2025 didn't Oledzki current deal expire in 2024 anyway. Hopefully we get Newman & a couple of others announced before start of new season.

I don't think there's any coincidence between these long deals for younger players, and Gale leaving recently.
I imagine most of the deals are already done, but they are just giving us a "good news" drip feed leading up to Christmas.
Who else do we need to tie up? Broadbent, Gannon and Newman? Are Walters and O'Connor in their last years too? I know Muizz is.
Walters is a funny one: looked the business at junior grade but struggled to adapt to open age so far and had a relatively poor year last year. He needs to get his mind and body right but if he does he could go a long way. Personally I hope we keep him on another couple of years and hopefully he will develop - but we can't keep everyone and there are some other talented young lads waiting their opportunity coming through.

Walters is a funny oneBroadbent Newman O'Connor all off contract,Walters contracted untill 20 23..Newman i expect will sign a new deal.I hope Broadbent signs a new deal but i think they will be a few clubs chasing him as he isnt guaranteed a 17 place.Not convinced we will offer O'Connor a new contract as we are overloaded in the backrow.No mention of Gannon's contract situation but i suspect that deal has already been done.
I agree with you regarding Walters he needs to step up more over this season and next.He has time on his side but needs to add more aggression in his game.

Thanks mate, I guess the club will be having a good look at the loan players and see how they shape up over the first part of the season.
Broadbent I would expect us to sign on - Agar likes a utility and he can cover pretty much the entire back line to a good standard already. Would imagine he has acquired some interest from other clubs though as you say. Deserves at least another couple of years you would think.
I can’t imagine we’d let Newman leave easily - I do think he’s far from the finished article but his potential is obvious. |

Agree with that mate.
Sutcliffe in the last chance saloon for me.
Great if he cements a place at centre but if he doesn`t he should be a squad filler like Briscoe. |
