Was in the first team at 18-19. But never lived up to his potential, could have been so much more. But loved how he really wound up saints and Warrington particularly Jon Wilkin.

| Love him or hate him he did a job on the field and I loved the way he got under people's skin!
He's starting training as a firefighter next month, he'll enjoy the craic and "serves the community" very noble and I think he'll do well!
Good Luck Ryan!

| My favourite memories of him will be his break straight from the kick off in the playoff game at Catalan, which led to a McGuire try in 2011(?), and his sparking of Maurie against Saints resulting in a complete meltdown from James Graham

He would be exposed more in todays team being asked to step up as a main line prop.He did a job as a bench player in a time when we did have a quality pack for the most part.
I agree with those that say he could have been so much more from his early promise but will still be remembered as successful player through a great era. Good luck in retirement to him.

| Radford flapping away at him before copping a red was entertaining but the "disrespect" he showed to wilkin by "whooping" as the clock ran down was better.

I know what you mean, but he had an edge to him that seems to be lacking in our current props.

| Those battles with James Graham around the period the three title in a row were top class. Granted Graham always had the ability over Bailey but those two going head-to-head was great to watch. The game at Knowsley Road with the shot on Maurie then Graham running on and losing his marbles and Bailey setting off across the pitch to run towards him...
Someone said it on here some time ago now but I think they were spot on when they said "opposition fans think he is the devil, his fans think he's a hero and the truth is probably somewhere in the middle".
And those saying he could be anything he wanted, I dare say the teenager that was sent to YOI would have bitten your hand off if you offered him a career with 6 grand finals, 3 WCCs and a CC.
And a nod to his new "career". Once and for all putting the accusations of him being a "$**thouse" to bed.
All the best, Bails.

| He had good ability to win the collision and provide a quick play the ball, which I never though he got enough credit for.
I wish there was footage of a fight he had at Widnes (I think), when one of their players hit him about three times, and then Ryan gave him one back and splatted is nose across his face.
