| I'm a bit sick of all the stick he's getting from a lot of people on here.
Granted, he may not be a natural no 6, but that said hes been a 4 for a lot lot longer than a 6 - but if ball is slow and the forwards can't make the yards, then he's not going to be able to inject pace and set plays up.
However, i do think he needs moving back to 4 asap. Handley has been shown up as a one trick pony as i suspected and although there isn't a plethora of talent available at the moment, i'm pretty sure we could get Reynolds from Leigh who seems outstanding.
The absolute likelihood is that Moon won't be with us next season so that'll be a centre and a SO we need.

| i have no problem with Moon at SO, he is a runner more than an organizer, in an ideal world we would have a ball playing 13 but that is so out of fashion nowadays. but if we had say Sutcliffe at 13 (which lets face it 20 years ago that's were he would play) that would let him and Moon share the 2nd receiver role hand allow Moon more running chances. unfortunately our pack is being mullerded every week which is helping no body, and moon is having a poor season on the back of it. if we had a pack on the front foot then i reckon Moon would be ripping it up and nobody would be having this debate. if we move Moon back to if our pack is not performing it will not change anything.

Well it will mean the ball will get further than Handley who after a few tries suddenly thinks he's Steve Renouf.
Chris Atkin from KR would also be perfect

or have a ball playing 1 or 13 and let him run in a open field. Moon as never been a great wingers either, just a great attacking runner, which is no bad thing.

Agree. Our pack is dreadful at the moment. We are playing poor desperate rugby on the back of it

| Has to go back to the centres now Watkins is done for the year. He is offering little at 6, i know people are saying Lilley is not up to it but at least he would take a bit of the slack from Myler in the kicking department i don't see what other options we have at this point.

| Im a big fan of Joel Moon. I get that people say hes not a 6 but we arent losing games cos of our halves. The pack is our issue at the moment. Old age and injuries are killing us.

Me too. Whatever opinions are of him at 6 though, he is one of the best Centres in SL and now we have lost our main strike player in Watkins it makes sense to shift him back now. I agree regards the pack.

| I imagine Ryan Hall might not be too impressed to see the return of his non-passing centre partner. Moon doesn't do enough for his winger for him to play there for us.

| Moon did OK last year but he's not a good 6 in my view. It worked last year because McGuire ran the show. Myler's doing OK, but if anything seems even more isolated than McGuire as the focus for our attack. We also need to see more from Parcell and whoever is playing fullback. Whilst he's had injuries and is still young, I haven't seen much evidence this year to justify Walker's 'once in a generation' wrap either.

Bit harsh imo, the lad has had some fair spells on the sidelines so far this year.

| Its ok to say we need more from Parcell, halves and our full backs but all those guys are playing behind a beaten pack most weeks.
No hooker can do anything off slow rucks especially a runner like Parcell. If he had of had Garbutt, Peteru and Galloway all season Parcell wouldve been better than hes been.
Lets be honest Moon was injured and unable to train early season and has never been same player since and is now out again. Hes probably never been fit all year.
