After Nigel Woods salary was made public on Monday there have been a lot of anger and frustration shown by fans on social media and now a petition has been started with a VOTE OF NO CONFIDENCE in Mr Wood. I have posted the link below .

| He sold the League's soul for a shot at fame
He got no clue about how to promote our game
He's got no style, he's got no grace
He's banal and facile, he's a fat waste of space
See his pug-nosed face
Pug, pug, pug, pug
See his pug-nosed face
Pug, pug, pug, pug
See his pug-nosed face
Pug, pug, pug, pug
The BIG fat man with the pug-nosed face
Pug, pug, pug, pug
Little fat man, pug-nosed face
Pug, pug, pug, pug
He's a little fat pug-nosed face

| Maybe we need to pay more and get someone better? We seem to be stuck between expansion and the heartland and not really helping either properly. Maybe we need to go down one of the routes and go for it wholeheartedly?
For me it's expansion in France and North America which if it comes off will actually benefit the heartlands as unfortunately the sport just isn't trendy.

Grow up Baldric. Say something a trifle more mature and relevant to his role.

| Unfortunately the professional game of rugby league in this country has reached complete stagnation. Not certain it's entirely down to Nigel Woods. More than likely due to a combination of things. Certainly the salary cap has not done the game any favours. Sadly unless things change I can't see any prospects of an uplift in the professional game. It will carry on plodding along. If the salary cap is not uplifted any decent player with ambition will go to Australia or rugby union.

IMO it has gone beyond stagnation, it has gone backwards

| Given the plight of the game in this country, that salary is excessive to say the least. IMO shouldn't be above £100k, let alone £300k. At the very least that money would be better spend on junior development, promotion of the game, and/or topping up the salaries of the best players in SL etc etc.

| I'd rather we paid a lot more and got someone top class in along with a whole top class leadership team at the RFL.
I think the game probably has stagnated but I don't think that's all down to Nigel Wood and I think to a degree it's factors largely out of the sports control. Issues such as the economy have a much greater effect on RL than most other sports because of where RL is based.
Also I think the game would have stagnated anyway simply because the sport was virtually bankrupt at all levels. The governing body and virtually every club was at risk of going under not that long ago. In a sport like RL that takes a long time to overcome and there are still many clubs struggling with the legacy of that overspending/underinvestment of the past.
I very much hate the personal attacks on Nigel Wood, I would prefer someone else at the top of RL but I can't stand when it's made personal in RL. It paints the sport in a very negative and backward light and makes it that much harder to attract a top class leader.

| Wood's salary puts some of the salaries paid to BBC employees into perspective.

| am i the only one who does not have a problem with the salary itself. bet Gh gets paid not far of that.
now whether Nigel wood is worth that salary is another matter but 300k for the ceo of the Rfl i think is pretty reasonable, tennis cricket athletics cycling union ceo are all probably on more than that

Thanks to the internet and it's ability to allow you to report the news as it happens, plus the fact that it is free and readily accessible for most of us, the number of people buying morning papers is massively in decline and has been for years. Is this really the best argument you can come up with for changing the kick off time to 7:30pn?

Didn't we try this a few seasons ago? It had zero affect. They don't report because they don't want to / can't be bothered
