Well that was just one of the best games ever, I don't think the stadium had much to do with it

correct it was one of the most exciting and dramatic games ever

it certainly created a great atmosphere inside the ground that day
who will ever forget magsy's late try and sinny's touchline conversion to take the game into extra time
there was more skill on show during those 80 minutes than during the whole of this season

Even though the ground was half as full, I thought the atmosphere at the 2012 semi against Wigan was a cracking atmosphere as well. Seven Nation Army seemed to ring out throughout the second half.

Never seen so many disgruntled Goon fans leaving the stadium that day.

Giving it the big uns in the pubs beforehand only to watch Tomkins have an absolute mare.

I think that was one of the last times I saw Delaney have a stand out game

That game summed up Tomkins as a fullback for me, brilliant with the ball but positionally poor, naive, and shaky both under the high ball and tackling one on one.
He should have moved back to 6 after that game and by now England could have a genuinely decent set of halves.

That game was also notable for a truly world class kicking performance by Sinfield, I would suggest anyone that thinks he is over rated (Cas fans) go watch that game... or any of our GFs for that matter

I recall him running after the ref complaining about a forward pass whilst the play was still going and Hardaker running through the gap that Tomkins had vacated to score. He's become even worst for that on his return. The Super 8's game between Wigan and Wire is was embarrassing how often he was turning to argue with the ref whilst the play was still alive, sometimes when Wire scored in the corner he could've gotten over to help tackle the scorer had he bothered. I know every team has their complainers to the ref when a try is scored but I haven't seen anybody do it as much whilst play is active and ignore his position.
