This is not 'trolling' but its worth considering for some of your fans.
Maybe last year was just an exception. Before last season Leeds had finished in the following places under McDermott:
5th
5th
6th
3rd
The only difference now is the change in league structure. You need to be in top 8 by the split and cant win anything from outside top 4.
It can be easily argued that Leeds have always been a mid-table team.

Pretty funny. Well I laughed anyway.
Although not sure what it says about the general standard of Super League when the utterly dominant club of the last decade can be described as a mid-table team.

Those league placings although mediocre were adequate to launch a challenge from once the serious stuff came around. Last year's changed format saw Leeds adapt to remain one of only two sides to compete in every SL Play-Off series. The question this year is either good enough to maintain that record?
Leeds' could be faced with an even bigger fight under this new structure, one the other remaining permanent members appear comfortable with. Fourteen rounds to go but as Leeds are in their supposed easier phase fixture wise where is any win likely to come from at present.

I don't think this is the scenario the RFL saw happening, Mr Hetherington will need to push for some changes.
